What is Plek?

Plek is the best digital platform for employee experience and communication. With Plek you bring top-down and bottom-up communication together in one digital environment and you increase the connection, involvement and productivity in your organization. View our specific solutions here.

Which type of organisations use Plek?

Over three hundred organisations in the Netherlands and Europe are using Plek, including London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), KPMG and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Is it possible to incorporate my company’s corporate identity into Plek?

Yes it is! Several of our customers have their own, tailored Plek. For example, you can include your logo into Plek. There is also the possibility to use your own designs for the app.

Cyber security

How safe is my data in Plek?

Information security is our top priority. If you use Plek, you are the owner of your own data. We draw up a clear processing agreement for all our customers.

What is Plek’s safety policy?

We work at Plek according to strict information security requirements. We are therefore ISO 27001 certified, just like our (Dutch) hosting provider. In addition, we comply with the BIO (Government information security baseline).

What do you see of this on a daily basis?

We have implemented strict security rules both internally and externally. For example, we regularly have penetration tests and audits carried out to test whether our policy, our hosting, our working method and our platform continue to meet the high requirements.

Can you work together on Plek?

Yes, that's possible. On Plek you can also chat 1-on-1 and share documents in a group.

I don’t own a computer or I am not allowed to use a computer during work, can I access Plek on a phone?

Yes, you can download Plek for Android and iOS!

We sometimes work with people outside of our organisation, can we give them access to Plek?

For sure, you can add people outside of your organisation to Plek. They will have limited access to Plek.

An intranet sounds interesting, but I am getting tired of e-mails, is there something Plek can do about that?

The biggest plus of Plek is that you can do everything via Plek. Everything. Sending documents, have a quick meeting with a colleague or sending a message to the entire company. This saves you a lot of e-mails! But if you really cannot go without your e-mails, you can also opt to receive notifications through e-mail.

Plek versus other systems

I love the systems we use in our company, can I connect those to Plek?

We are already using an Intranet (Microsoft Sharepoint or Teams), why should I use Plek?

Sharepoint is a very top-down intranet. Teams is very useful if you want to have face to face contact with a colleague, someone with whom you already communicate very often. But if you want different kinds of communications, then you should have a look at Plek. For example, if you want to break through silo’s of different departments or really engage your employees. Our current intranet is not being used by everyone, how can Plek help us change this?

We find user participation very important. A successful intranet means that everyone uses the platform and keeps using it. Our experience is that Plek enables more interaction. Most intranets have 1% of their users actively posting messages, 9% commenting on those messages and 90% just reads messages. At Plek we see 10% actively posting, 30% commenting and 60% that only reads. How we succeed in this? Read about our approach.

How does Plek create more employee engagement compared to traditional intranets?

At Plek everyone can post messages or comment on them. This results in more interaction within organisations, but it also results in employees feeling more engaged in their job.

What is Plek Engagement?

What is the advantage of Plek Onboarding compared to stand alone onboarding apps?

Unlike many apps, Plek offers organisations a complete solution that supports employees online, from the very first introduction into the company until they leave the company. Read here about employee onboarding.

How does Plek compare to other learning management systems?

Plek focuses on social interaction between students, with other students and with the teacher, whereas traditional learning systems have a more individual focus. The content will remain on your current learning management system, but social interaction will take place on Plek. This way Plek social learning can exist next to your current Learning Management System. Read more about our social learning module.

Implementation and costs

How long will it take to implement Plek?

This depends on what you wish and demand, but on average it takes between two or five weeks. If it is really urgent, it is possible to go live within one day. Read more about our approach or send us a message and go live quickly.

How much does Plek cost?

Do I have to pay for the monthly updates?

No, our monthly updates are completely free and part of our service. They will be automatically available for all users, so there is nothing you need to do about it.

Can I still benefit from Plek’s expertise after we have gone live?
